The Apostle Paul, suffering in prison, needed to hear how the Philippians were doing spiritually. “But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be encouraged when I learn of your condition” Paul could not go so he is sending Timothy. “For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will genuinely be concerned for your welfare” (Php 2:19-20). The ones who have invested in your Christian life need to hear how you are doing spiritually also. Hopefully your report will be encouraging to them.
