“Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself [set aside the exercise of His deity], taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [dependent upon God only]” (Php 2:5-7). Consequently, you also are to set aside the exercise of your natural, human plans and purposes and chose to be dependent upon the leading of Jesus who “is our life” (Col 3:4).
