“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others” (Php 2:3-4). The Gospel is designed for selfish and prideful people, but when you were saved the Lord Jesus led you to begin to be sensitive and concerned for others. Your self-focus began to fade as you became aware of others who needed salvation and/or some assistance. This is part of your spiritual maturation in Christ.
