The Apostle James now gives you the answer for how to resist temptation. “Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls” (Jas 1:21). In other words, deny your ungodly and fleshly desire to be in control of your life’s desires and goals and entrust yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ’s indwelling leadership and control. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them” (Eph 2:10).
