The following statement is true of all of mankind. “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.” However, “You know that He [Jesus] appeared to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin”. Jesus’ death on the cross paid the full penalty for all sin, past, present and future! Therefore relationally, “No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him” (1 Joh 3: 4-6).
