“The one who says he is in the Light [Jesus] and yet hates his brother is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother abides in the Light [Jesus] and there is no cause for stumbling in him” (1 Joh 2:9-10). The Apostle John says, “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen” (1 Joh 4:20).
