“Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard.” As you attempt to obey God by your own capability through the Word of God it is like being in the dark because it did not satisfy. “On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining” (1 Joh 2:7-8). When you choose to let [the light] Jesus take the initiative carrying out His purpose you will be living in His Light.
