The Apostle Paul gives you a sample of being under the control of Jesus’ Spirit. “And do not get drunk [controlled] with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled [controlled]with the Spirit,” The control of the Spirit of Christ will be evidenced by, “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord”, [plus thanksgiving] always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject to one another in the fear [reverence and respect] of Christ” (Eph 5:18-21). By this you will be pleasing to Jesus Christ. “Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him´ (2 Cor 5:9).
