Jesus Christ is the foundation of your Christian life. Your Christian life is also part of “the whole building being fitted together, [and it] is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit” (Eph 2:20-21). In other words, you are like one spiritual building block. Together with other Christians you are being formed into a temple of God by the Spirit of God. This is truly a mystery, but it reveals the unity and purpose of God for you and all other believers.
