Instead of the self-focus of your “old nature”, “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (Col 3:16). Your transformed Christian life, by God’s design, is Christ focused. Your new life will be overflowing with godly wisdom, songs and continue gratefulness as Jesus promised. ‘From his [your] innermost being will flow rivers of living water” (Jon 7:38).
