Colossians Devotional 37

The Apostle Paul’s purpose was, “that we may present every man complete in Christ” (Col 1:28). Paul also saw himself as a spiritual father who presents his daughter as a bride to Jesus as His perfect wife. “For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me” (Col 1:29). Paul also saw that the power and ability to carry out God’s purpose was according to Christ’s power and not His own. This realization did not weaken Paul’s resolve, but strengthened it.
