Colossians Devotional 16

Sincere Christians speak of the need to be more disciplined “for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience” (Col 1:11). Consequently, you try to be more spiritually disciplined to please God. The Apostle Paul corrects this desire, “For this reason I remind you… God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline” (2 Tim 1:6-7). All of these attributes become yours through entrusting yourself to Jesus Christ and allowing Him, with your cooperation, to initiate His life in, through and with you daily.
