It is very important for you to never blame God for being tempted, “But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death” (Jas 1:14-15). The Apostle James illustrates the progression of your temptation to actual sin: 1) a source of temptation 2) enticement or desire to indulge 3) commitment to partake 4) sin and 5) the consequences of the sin. The fact of being tempted is not sin, but it is sin when you follow through with it. You and all others are vulnerable to temptations beginning with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
