When you are “walking in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him” then you will be “bearing fruit in every good work” (Col 1:10). This bearing of fruit is not producing the fruit, but it is holding or carrying the fruit until it is ripe. The producer of spiritual fruit is always Christ Himself. He indwells you and desires you to allow Him to manifest Himself to others through you. Jesus promised, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water” (Jon 7:38).
