“For He who said, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ also said, ‘do not commit murder.’ Now if you do not commit adultery, but do commit murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty [the indwelling life of Christ]. For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment” (Jas 2:11-13). The Law judges and gives no mercy to the Law breaker, but Jesus fulfilled all of the Law’s requirements for you who are in Him. “He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory” (Rom 9:23).
