The Apostle Paul reports, “He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God” (Col 1:15). You understand that God is a Spirit and His Personhood is hidden from your natural eye sight. The Apostle John expresses it, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (Jn. 1:1). The idea that Jesus is the image of God (or the Word) as He lived and ministered upon the earth may seem like comparing apples and oranges. However, Jesus was the full expression of our eternal God clothed in a human body – wholly Holy!
